Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the event parking is set to begin. Any event not cancelled within 24 hours will be charged. Please contact your assigned event team member regarding cancellations

I live on campus, where can I park?

Between the hours of 7am and 5:30pm, residents are restricted to their designated residential lots. However after 5:30pm, residents can park in any D, C or B designated areas except for 2 hours reserved or any other labeled space.

Which garages have elevators?

Garages A, C, E, G, H and Libra are equipped with elevators.

Are permits required at Lake Nona, the Downtown Campus, and Rosen?

UCF parking permits are required at all locations.

If I have a valid UCF parking permit, am I permitted to park in the garages during an event at the arena?

Yes, with a valid UCF parking permit you are able to park in garages being used for an event, if space is available.

How can I get notifications on parking availability and shuttle service?

You can download the UCF mobile app here UCF Mobile – University of Central Florida and “opt in” for Parking availability and shuttle alert channels which will keep you up to date on any shuttle or parking changes.

Does Parking and Transportation have a Twitter or Facebook account?

We do not currently have any social media platforms; however, all of our information is readily available on our web page at http://parking.ucf.edu/

Is there a private carpooling or car-sharing program?

Yes, both Zipcar and Zimride are available.

How is Parking and Transportation Services funded?

Parking and Transportation Services is self-funded.

Is there a way for me to get around campus without moving my vehicle?

The Pegasus Express shuttle service runs inter-campus Monday through Friday. Additional information may be found at http://parking.ucf.edu/shuttles/on-campus-shuttles/

Is there a GPS link for the shuttles?

Please refer to http://ucf.crystal-tod.com/rider/ for the GPS tracking system for arrivals, departures and location of shuttles.

Are there shuttles to the Orlando International Airport (MCO)?

SGA Knight Flight program provides seasonal transportation from the main campus to MCO for students with valid UCF identification. More information is provided here: https://ucfsga.com/services/knight-flight/

Will there be UCF shuttles to the UCF Downtown Campus?

Shuttles will be provided effective fall semester 2019.

Where can I park on campus for football game day?

If you do not have a gold zone pass, you may park in any of the red or blue zones for game day. More information here:here: http://ucfknights.com/facilities/?id=1

How much is CFE Arena event parking?

The fee may be either $5.00 or $10.00.

I’ve already submitted my Events Parking Request Form but have not heard back from anyone. What’s the turnaround time?

Generally we ask for the ERF form to be submitted no later than five days prior to the event. The events coordinator will respond back within one to two business days.

If I have a valid UCF parking permit, am I permitted to park in the garages during an event at the arena?

Yes, you are still able to park in the garages being used for the event.

Why did I get a citation for an expired license tag? I thought only the police could issue those citations?

Parking Services employees are certified to enforce all Florida State Statutes and may issue a citation for any non-moving violation.

What happens if I receive a citation and I believe it is incorrect?

Citations may be appealed at the website indicated on the back of your citation. However, unpaid citations may lead to an academic hold on accounts and/or being sent to collections.

Does Parking Services cite vehicles for no permit at Lake Nona or the Downtown campus?

Yes. Parking permits are required at both campuses.

I locked my keys in my car, what do I do?

Contacting the UCF Police Department non-emergency number (407-823-5555) will dispatch a patroller to assist you. Parking Services is able to assist with door openings, battery jumps, tire changes, and searching for vehicles.

Is there any location on campus that does not require a parking permit?

The campus is parking by UCF parking permit or daily fee only. There are no locations on campus that provide free parking.

What happens if I park in a reserved 24 hours space?

Your vehicle may be subject to a citation and/or tow.

How is it determined whether parking capacity on the main campus is sufficient?

This is calculated by an industry standard which is a ratio of 2:1 persons to one vehicle. Keep in mind not all students are on campus at the same time.

I can’t find any parking, what do I do?

Is there a fee to park in garage F?

Garage F is complimentary for guests visiting the Knights Plaza except when there is an event. Please note signs for areas that require a specific parking permit.

Is there free parking after 5:30PM?

There is no free parking on campus. However, after 5:30PM, students with valid UCF permits are permitted to park in B and C lots, except any specifically designated space.

Are parking garages open for free public parking during hurricanes?

Only vehicles with valid UCF parking permits are allowed to remain parked on campus.

Its finals week, do parking rules still apply?

Parking rules are enforced 24 hours a day, and during all times of the year.

Where can visitors park on campus?

Visitors may park in any D (green) student lot or garage once a daily permit has been purchased.

How do I know where to park with my valid parking permit?

Signs located at all UCF parking lots and garage entrances are color coordinated according to your permit type and color.

What are my parking options if I’m a faculty or staff member coming from a satellite campus to the main campus?

A valid parking permit or a daily permit is required.

Are parking permits provided to invited guests?

University departments have the option of purchasing daily permits via Inter-departmental Transfer in advance for lecturers and speakers.

Where can I park as an overnight guest?

Overnight guests need to purchase a multi-day parking permit which allows parking in Garage A, B, C, I, as well as designated student surface lots. These permits may be purchased at the Visitor and Parking Information Center or the main parking service’s office in Garage B.

What if I am only going to be on campus for an hour or two?

There is short term parking located at the Visitor and Parking Information Center and there are single space meters located throughout the campus that accommodate short term parking needs.

What happens if I alter my daily permit or my parking decal?

Vehicles displaying any type of altered permit are subject to a citation of $100 and immobilization of the vehicle.

Can I transfer my hang tag to another student?

Hang tags are transferrable from automobile to automobile; however, they are not transferrable from person to person. Permits are linked to your information and you are liable for any citations that are issued with that permit.

Can I register my vehicle with a temporary license plate?

Once you have your permanent license plate, you can email decals@ucf.edu with your updated information. Please include your PID and new vehicle information.

I am using a vehicle other than the one I have registered. What do I need to do?

You may obtain a complimentary temporary parking permit at the Visitor and Parking Information Center or the office located in parking garage B.
