Does Parking and Transportation have a Twitter or Facebook account?

Is there a private carpooling or car-sharing program?

Yes, both Zipcar and Zimride are available.

How is Parking and Transportation Services funded?

The department does not receive any state funding and is self-funded.

Can I get a shuttle to go to other cities in Florida?

Is there a way for me to get around campus without moving my vehicle?

Yes, we offer the Black & Gold Shuttle service that runs inter-campus. You can find more information here: http://parking.ucf.edu/shuttles/on-campus-shuttles/

I have been waiting for a bus for over 15 minutes, how much longer do I have to wait?

Please refer to http://m.ucf.edu/shuttles/routes for the GPS tracking system for arrivals and departures of shuttles.

Are there shuttles to the Orlando International Airport (MCO)?

Yes, SGA Knight Flight program provides seasonal transportation from the main campus to MCO for students with valid UCF identification. More information is provided here: https://ucfsga.com/services/knight-flight/

Will there be UCF shuttles to the UCF Downtown Campus?

The department will be providing transportation from the main campus to Downtown, effective Fall 2019.

Where can I park on campus for football game day?

If you do not have a gold zone pass, you may park in any of the red or blue zones for game day. More information here: http://www.ucfknights.com/index.aspx?path=football

How much is event parking?

General parking may be either $5 or $10.

I’ve already submitted my Events Parking Request Form but have not heard back from anyone. What’s the turnaround time?

Generally we ask for the ERF form to be submitted no later than five days prior to the event. The events coordinator will respond back within one to two business days.

If I have a valid UCF parking permit, am I permitted to park in the garages during an event at the arena?

Yes, you are still able to park in the garages being used for the event.

Why did I get a citation for an expired license tag? I thought only the police could issue those citations?

Parking Services enforces all Florida State Statutes and its employees are certified to issue a citation for any non-moving violation.

What happens if I receive a citation and I believe it is incorrect?

Citations may be appealed at the website indicated on the back of your citation. However, unpaid citations may lead an academic hold on accounts and/or being sent to collections.

Does Parking Services cite vehicles for no permit at Lake Nona or the Downtown campus?

Yes. Parking permits are required at both campuses.

I locked my keys in my car, what do I do?

Contacting the UCF Police Department non-emergency number (407-823-5555) will dispatch a patroller to assist you. Parking Services is able to assist with door openings, battery jumps, tire changes, and searching for vehicles.

Is there any location on campus that provides free parking?

The campus is parking by permit only. There are no locations on campus that provide free parking, except as discussed in #14.

What happens if I park in a reserved 24 hours space?

Your vehicle may be subject to a citation and/or tow.

How is it determined whether parking capacity on the main campus is sufficient?

This is calculated by an industry standard which is a ratio of 2:1 persons to one vehicle. Keep in mind not all students are on campus at the same time.

I can’t find any parking, what do I do?

Is there a fee to park in garage F?

Garage F is complimentary for guests visiting the Knights Plaza except when there is an event. Please note signs for areas that require a specific parking permit.

Is there free parking after 5:30PM?

There is no free parking on campus. However, after 5:30PM, students with valid UCF permits are permitted to park in B and C lots, except any specifically designated space.

Are parking garages open for free public parking during hurricanes?

Only vehicles with valid UCF parking permits are allowed to remain parked on campus.

Its finals week, do parking rules still apply?

Parking rules are enforced 24 hours a day, and during all times of the year.

Where can visitors park on campus?

Visitors may park in any D (green) student lot or garage once a daily permit has been purchased.

How do I know where to park with my valid parking permit?

Signs located at all UCF parking lots and garage entrances are color coordinated for all permit types.

What are my parking options if I’m a faculty or staff member coming from a satellite campus to the main campus?

If prior arrangements have not been made by your department or you do not currently have a valid parking permit, a daily permit is required.

How do university departments provide parking permits to invited guests?

University departments have the option of purchasing passes via Inter-departmental Transfer in advance for lecturers and speakers.

Where can I park as an overnight guest?

Overnight guests need to purchase a multi-day parking permit which allows parking in Garage A, B, C, I, and Libra as well as designated student surface lots. These permits may be purchased at the Visitor and Parking Information Center or the main parking service’s office in Garage B.

What if I am only going to be on campus for an hour or two?

There is short term parking located at the Visitor and Parking Information Center and there are single space meters located throughout the campus that accommodate short term parking needs.

What happens if I alter my daily permit or my parking decal?

Vehicles displaying any type of altered permit are subject to a citation of $100 and immobilization of the vehicle.

Can I transfer my hang tag to another student if I no longer need the permit?

No. The permit is still linked to your personal information, and you are liable for any citations that are issued with that permit.

Can I register my vehicle with a temporary license plate?

Yes. Once you have your permanent license plate, you can email decals@ucf.edu with your updated information. Please include your PID and new vehicle information.

I am using a vehicle other than the one I have registered. What do I need to do?

If you have purchased a valid UCF parking decal, you may obtain a complimentary temporary parking permit.
