In order to give UCF students, faculty, and staff members a viable, alternate means by which to get around campus in a safe and convenient way, Parking & Transportation Services provides an on-campus shuttle system called The Black & Gold Line.

This system consists of four buses, each of which is totally disability-accessible. The Black & Gold Line operates 12 hours per day (7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.) each class day during the fall and spring semesters, and on every class day during the summer terms, it runs 9 hours per day (7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.). For the fall and spring, all four buses operate, while two buses run during the summer.

The system has two routes: the Black Route and the Gold Route. The buses on the Black Route run clockwise around the campus while, at the same time, the Gold Route runs counter clockwise. There are 13 designated stops on each route, sequentially numbered 1 thru 13. Stop 1 is located in front of the Burnett Honors College at the eastern end of Parking Lot G-5 adjacent the Visual Arts Building.

The routes are designed to provide close access to as many of the most populated and important buildings and facilities on the campus on approximate 10 to 15 minute headways. The routes are listed as follows. All stops are in the same location on every route except Stop 11. This stop is on either side of West Gemini Blvd and serves both Millican Hall and the Welcome Center.

The Parking and Transportation Department also provides shuttle service to and from the Rosen College of Hospitality Management four days each week (Monday - Thursday). This service enables those students to select alternate transportation and saves them the time to find available parking spaces on the main campus.
